This is the month we welcome the start of a new school year.

We welcome everyone who joins us for the first time as well as those returning from their summer break. We wish you well and hope you really enjoy this coming school year as these years are really very special.

At this time we also start to think about harvest and turn our thoughts toward our farmers who have planted their seeds and looked after their crops.

We remember that we should give thanks that we are all lucky enough to have plenty of food and remember at this time those who may not.

Heritage Open Days

Celebrates England's fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.

Every year on four days in September, buildings of every age, style and function throw open their doors, ranging from castles to factories, town halls to tithe barns, parish churches to Buddhist temples. It is a once-a-year chance to discover hidden architectural treasures and enjoy a wide range of tours, events and activities which bring to life local history and culture. Our Church St Peter and St Paul takes part each year and recently celebrated it's 50th Anniversary.

Free of charge and literally on people's doorstep, Heritage Open Days is an event for everyone, whatever their background, age and ability. Read more...
